This resort offers a unique mix of historic charm and modern conveniences, with spacious rooms and a lovely rooftop area perfect for unwinding. The staff provided attentive service, making my stay enjoyable. However, the location near busy streets and the presence of homeless individuals nearby may be concerning for some visitors.

The one-bedroom suite was spacious and clean, featuring a separate bedroom, a cozy lounge area with a fold-out couch, and a small balcony that added to the experience.

The staff was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay, which I greatly appreciated.

While the resort's location was convenient for accessing various parts of the city, I did notice a large homeless population in the area, which could make some guests uncomfortable.

5.0/10

My stay was quite disappointing. The area around the hotel felt unsafe with homeless encampments, and it didn't live up to the expectations of a resort. While San Diego is lovely, I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone looking for a getaway, especially not for a special occasion like an anniversary.

Rooms
7.0
The room was large and clean, but we were misinformed about the bed size, expecting a king but getting a queen.
Service

The concierge was overly aggressive in trying to push a timeshare scheme, which ruined the whole experience.
Location

The location felt unsafe and was a nightmare to navigate due to the surrounding area.
Dining

The breakfast that was provided felt like a ploy and was quite disgusting, not at all up to par.
Facilities

The absence of any real amenities like a pool or any on-site features was quite disappointing.

I stayed at this resort in San Diego and was impressed with the renovations and cleanliness of the property. Unfortunately, parking was a hassle and Wi-Fi was not complimentary, which made things a bit tricky. It was a great overall experience, but the extra costs were disappointing.

This resort offers a fantastic rooftop deck with stunning views and a great atmosphere for relaxation. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making my stay more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and well-decorated, but the city traffic noise could be a downside for light sleepers. I found the value for money to be excellent, especially with the added convenience of a well-equipped kitchenette.

7.0/10

I had a mixed experience at this resort. On one hand, the rooftop space was fantastic for enjoying evening drinks and soaking up the sun, and the location was ideal for exploring the city. On the flip side, the room was a bit cramped, and the kitchenette was too small to prepare a complete meal comfortably. Overall, it felt like a good deal considering the area's attractions, but some aspects could definitely use improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in had a kitchenette that was quite small, making it difficult to cook meals. Although I enjoyed the rooftop for relaxation, I was expecting a king-size bed, but it turned out to be a queen.
Service
7.0
The service was cordial and the facility maintained a pleasant and historic feel. However, one staff member kept his earbuds in and wasn’t very engaging, which was surprising to me.
Location

The location was great for visiting different parts of the city, but I did notice the presence of vagrants around the area, which was off-putting.

Facilities

The facilities were generally good, with the rooftop being a standout feature, though I wish there were better laundering options available.
